It's time. It's time to start the blog about my journey over the next year. Yesterday I got up around 7, then headed out the door at 7:30 a.m. for a walk. A little over six miles and two hours later I returned home, having logged over 15,000 steps. I will make it! I worked at Sprint Center last night for a concert, then at the Chiefs game today (go Chiefs - they won!!). I worked at the grill portable, which I really liked. I had fun while working, dancing around while waiting for more customers. I enjoy interacting with different people and even though I come back home exhausted I've had a great day. Now it's back to work tomorrow.
Kaitlyn is having a great time with all the comments about her story in the paper. In case you missed it, go to http://www.kansascity.com/ and search for Kaitlyn Goddard and you'll find it. It's a good story and the picture along with it is good. I have such great kids!
I'll work on the blog design when I have time. Tuesday is the election - I'll be working all day at the polls! Another chance for interaction with lots of people - I love it! And to get in more steps, I'll pace the floors and dance around. What good is work if you can't have fun??
