busy busy busy!

Busy time!  Today is a relaxation day.  My mom had rotator cuff surgery last week, the surgery went well but she was in a lot of pain afterwards.  The doctor said her rotator cuff was basically shredded, a problem caused by what sounded kind of like a bone spur on her collarbone - so he had to take care of the collarabone also.  She spent three days in the hospital then was transferred to rehab and hopefully will come home tomorrow.  Sunday I worked the Chiefs game, then Monday and Tuesday after work went and worked at Sprint center for the basketball games.  Today - massage at 11, will do a short workout beforehand at the gym.  Then come home and work on the house and Thanksgiving dinner.  Tomorrow - get up, put turkey in oven, then take a walk.  Friday - Kaitlyn wanted to go shopping, we need to figure out what she wants to get.  If we go out, we'll go for specific things and get back home.  Good time for a walk again!  Saturday, working the KU/MU game at Arrowhead, then followed by the Usher concert at Sprint.  I can't say no to those guys!  I enjoy working the concessions - plus Kaitlyn's account is building up pretty quick and she has a lot to do next year.  Her mission trip next summer is out of the country, although we don't know exactly where yet.  She'd like to do the DMA (Drum Major Academy) band camp again - and her high school band will be going on a band trip in 2012 - looks like maybe to either Hawaii or Ireland - so lots of money to raise!  Working concessions is a fun and easy way (for me at least) to do it.  I really like the people I work with and enjoy working with people so it's a good match.
Sunday will be off to church, then home to relax and watch football games.  And a walk!
Next week goes back to 'regular' schedule (whatever that is!)  More walks in at lunchtime and after work.   OH - and I have officially signed up for the walk in DC in September.  More to come on that later!!

Take care - keep in touch - and keep walking with me in spirit!
